Who is Duygu Yılmaz Hancılar?

She is the founder of İzmir Laughter Club, Turkey's second and the Aegean Region's first and only active laughter club, established on March 20, 2020, World Happiness Day. Throughout the pandemic, she voluntarily organized thousands of online laughter yoga sessions to reduce people's stress levels, strengthen their immune systems, and create space for joy in their lives.

Who is Duygu Yılmaz Hancılar?

She is the founder of İzmir Laughter Club, Turkey's second and the Aegean Region's first and only active laughter club, established on March 20, 2020, World Happiness Day. Throughout the pandemic, she voluntarily organized thousands of online laughter yoga sessions to reduce people's stress levels, strengthen their immune systems, and create space for joy in their lives. She continues to offer sessions in Turkish and English according to the demands of institutions, special groups, and individuals.

She is an industrial engineer. She started her career in 2011 in the Human Resources department of Er-Bakır. She enriched her career with production department rotation, Lean & Six Sigma Green Belt certification, integrated quality management standards certifications, and EFQM excellence model certification. She served in both operational and managerial roles in the implementation of many pioneering human resources practices and organizational development projects. In 2019, she undertook the design of organizational transformation and employee experience projects at BMC Group Human Resources Directorate, and as of 2020, she transferred to the İnci Holding Human Resources Center of Excellence. As HR CoE Leader & Agile Coach, she produced projects to create and sustain agile transformation and a culture of succeeding together in a group of 3,200 people. She holds the ICF-approved ACAIC (Adler Certified Agility & Innovation Coach) title.

Within the İnci Academy, she provided training and facilitated workshops within the framework of programs designed according to needs, primarily on Design Thinking, Creative Thinking, Employee Experience Design, The Power of Joy, Corporate Laughter Yoga, and P4C (Philosophy for Children). All the income from her training, facilitation, and coaching services was donated to the İnci Foundation for the education of disadvantaged children and youth.

Duygu Yılmaz Hancılar, who has diverse interests, hosts audio broadcasts in the "Var Olmak da Az Şey Değil" (Just Existing Is No Small Thing) (2021) and "Uyanışlar Podcast" (Awakenings Podcast) (2025) series, welcoming different guests who intend to live life to the fullest. With Pearson-accredited P4C (Philosophy for Children & Communities) certification, she manages Philosophy with Communities Workshops.

The "Var Olmak da Az Şey Değil Podcast" program was selected as the 3rd best among Turkish programs in the "Awareness and Renewal" selection of Oksijen Newspaper in 2022, following the Merdiven Altı Terapi and Doğan Cüceloğlu programs.

In addition to being a member of many different non-governmental organizations, she currently continues her voluntary professional work as a Board Member of PERYÖN Aegean Branch. She is one of the founding members of Turkey's first International Organization Development Association IODA Turkey.

After participating in the CIYO (Coming Into Your Own) program in 2019, she continues her journey as a student of various esoteric teachings with a curiosity nourished by the Delicate Lodge teaching, one of the ancient wisdoms of the North American natives.
