After the invasion of Tibet in 1949, the nation suffered immensely under the brutal Chinese regime under a ruthless General Tan which led His Holiness The Fourteenth Dalai Lama to escape his homeland into India and seek refuge. A group of ordinary Tibetan men led by Gonpo Tashi Andrugtsang (Jindah) secretly formed the resistance group called "Chushi Gangdruk" which translates to Four Rivers Six Ranges. Four Rivers Six Ranges about these warriors who escorted and protected The Dalai Lama till the Indian border, inspired by the book "Flight at the Cuckoos behest" through the eyes of Kunga Samten.
