Roots of Welicoruss go back to deep 2002 in Western Siberia and at that time Welicoruss became one of the pioneers of epic black metal in their location.
The band's style is hard to describe, but over the years band members as well as musical critics have agreed that it`s closest to epic extreme metal, which embodies fury of black metal, epicness of symphonic metal and complex arrangements and rhythms of progressive metal.
In their lyrics and conception Welicoruss refers to the secret, occult side of life, mixed with tribal mysticism, primal fury and majesty of Natural forces.
In 2013 Welicoruss relocated to Prague (Czech Republic) and started new work on completely different level, full of permanent tours, concerts and festivals.

Welicoruss has 3 full-length albums: "Wintermoon Symphony" [2008, CD-Maximum], Az Esm` [2015, Hellblast records], Siberian Heathen Horde [2020, El Puerto Records] and one EP "Apeiron" [2009, CD-Maximum], one 3-hours lenght anniversary documentary "15 years of madness" [2021] and currently band is actively working on new album "Deadman's Manifest", which will be released at the end of 2023.
