Ondfødt

Ondfødt is a Finnish black metal band that formed in Ostrobothnia in 2013. Their name, meaning “ill-born” in Swedish, reflects the dark, nihilistic themes they explore, which draw heavily on Nordic folklore and regional melancholy.

The band began as a project led by Owe Inborr (vocals and initially drums) and Mikael Kåll (guitar and bass). Early on, they released a demo titled I and soon expanded to include members like Dario Vujošević, Simon Bondegård, and Juuso Englund. During the recording of their debut album Hexkonst (2014), Bondegård departed, with Inborr taking on the drumming duties, setting the stage for their raw, aggressive sound.

Their discography has grown steadily over the years, including releases such as Dödsrikets Kallelse (2019), Norden (2021), and Det Österbottniska Mörkret (2023). With Oldfodt (EP, 2024), the band revisited earlier material, highlighting their evolution and willingness to explore new sonic territories while staying true to their roots.

The current lineup—comprising Owe Inborr (vocals, guitar), Dario Vujošević (guitar, backing vocals), Joel Notkonen (bass), and Tommi Tuhkala (drums)—continues to push the boundaries of black metal, both in studio recordings and live performances, sustaining their reputation as one of Finland’s
