Solaris1994 is a new production from the 3rd Echelon Theater (website). This VHS story captures a family, frozen in the mid-90s and lived inside a mockumentary about (non)Martian chronicles. The piece, created by director Daniil Posazhennikov (website), is drawn from his personal archive and childhood documents. A small space odyssey, it uses found footage to weave together the fleeting fabric of memory and the illusory nature of reality. Solaris1994 presents a "beautifully faraway" world, offering a naive journey into the unconscious machine/ocean. Inside the video immersive space, the film "Solaris" itself is being shot with performative actions by Regina Raimjanova and Mira Tyrina.

On the same evening, the theater will unveil its upcoming season, blending humor (we hope) with imagination and inspiring dreams of future productions. The 3rd Echelon Theater, a new company in Zurich, recently did a pseudo-Baroque opera in the courtyard of an old crematorium. (Watch the teaser for the premiere and backstage)
