In Earth-centered traditions, this is a festival of spring awakening: Sreténie, Imbolc — the meeting of winter and spring. Gromnitsa-Dodola (the Valkyrie) awakens the spring juices in the trees with her lightning and revives the earth from its slumber. It’s also the last major celebration before the Great Lent.
In Sun-centered traditions, it’s a day honoring Mars, fire, and warriors.

► Ritual honoring Dodola (Valkyrie, Earth, Spring) and Perun (Mars, Thor, Donar) with offerings of milk and bread to the earth.
► Burning of the Yerzovka doll, symbolizing cleansing of old energies.
► Rolling thunder — drumming on a shamanic drum.
► Blessing of Gromnitsa candles.
► Fire rituals for renewal and protection.
► Philosophical discussions about our ancient traditions.
