Shochu (焼酎), written as “burned liquor,” is a versatile distilled Japanese beverage. It has a variety of type and the way to taste it. Join us for a special evening and immerse yourself in the world of Shochu—one of the oldest spirits in the world and a true insider’s tip for the years to come.
Toru Wada, one of the few Shochu sommeliers in Europe, will guide you through the art of this
extraordinary beverage. The spotlight will be on the exquisite Kuma Shochu from Kumamoto
Prefecture—a rice-based Shochu with a unique character.
Look forward to tasting five carefully selected distillates while gaining fascinating insights into their
production and heritage. To round off the experience, enjoy a refined Shochu cocktail crafted by the
Bar Les Trois Rois.
After the tasting, there will be ample time to ask questions and share your impressions. We warmly
invite you to discover the allure of these exceptional Japanese spirits with us.
The masterclass will be conducted in English.
